Mr Macaroni, a comedian from Adamawa state, has chastised Atiku Abubakar for deleting a Facebook and Twitter post, where he criticized the mob-killing of a Christian lady in Sokoto.
According to two witnesses, the lady was beaten to death and set on fire by fellow students who accused her of making “blasphemous” statements in a WhatsApp group.
AgnesIsika Blog previously reported that Atiku Abubakar took down the posts made on his social media accounts after the presidential candidate was threatened with votes by certain Northerners ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
In a tweet, Mr Macaroni added that Atiku’s actions demonstrate that politicians do not care about the people, they merely play to the gallery to win votes.
Mr Macaroni said, “Atiku deleting the tweet condemning the gruesome murder of Deborah shows what we have been preaching this whole election season. Politicians don’t care for the people. They only play to the gallery when seeking for our votes. The people must see beyond these gimmicks…”
