Bobrisky vs. EFCC: VeryDarkMan To Appear Before Representatives On Monday Over N15m Bribe

The well-known Nigerian social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, better known online as VeryDarkMan, is scheduled to testify before the House of Representatives on Monday regarding the bribery accusations levied against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, or EFCC.

In an audio clip made public by VeryDarkMan, crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, claimed to have paid N15 million to EFCC agents to dismiss the money laundering investigation against him.

At the purported video, Borisky also stated that his godfather had provided accommodations for him at a lodge, therefore he never served his six-month sentence in Lagos’ Kirikiri prison.

Aggrieved by the allegation, the House of Representatives had invited VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky and EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede as part of its probe into the matter.

However, VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, said his client would honour the invitation as part of efforts to assist with the investigation.

Chatting with Daily Post on Sunday, Adeyanju said: “We will be at the National Assembly tomorrow with our client @thatverydarkman to assist in investigations into allegations by Bobrisky that he/she paid N15m to have money laundering charges dropped by EFCC and also bribed prison officials to stay in an apartment.”

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
