When a wild animal especially a lion is on loose, the whole community is thrown into confusion and panic. It takes the brave of heart to make attempts in recapturing such a dangerous animal.

A video circulating online shows a girl catching a lion that was roaming the streets in Kuwait, according to Kuwaiti news outlet Al Anbaa.

According to reports received on Sunday by the Ministry of Interior, a lion was said to be wandering on the roads in the Sabahiya area south of Kuwait City which sparked panic.

The environmental police went to the place along with the owner of the lion who happens to be a girl and along with the girl’s father (Kuwaiti citizen) and with those who raised the lion were able to recapture and hand it over to the owners.

The girl is seen walking down the street carrying the young lion, which appears to be trying to escape.

Although this is illegal in many Gulf states, exotic animals remain popular as pets for many people.

In June 2020, authorities in Dubai announced that they were cracking down on dangerous animal ownership after reports of a big cat wandering around the Springs community. It later turned out that these were false reports, and the supposed dangerous animal caught on film was in fact a housecat.

People in Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, have been known to pay more than $6,000 for pet cheetahs, according to a report from the Saudi Gazette.

I wonder why someone would want a lion as a pet. Lions are still wild animals, and they might attack their owner anytime. Even though they can be a pet, owners must act cautious and be careful not to threaten their pet lion so they don’t try to run away.
