Breaking News: Abuja Court Of Appeal Reverses On Its Judgement To Release Nnamdi Kanu

Published on

The Court of Appeal in Abuja halted the execution of its own judgment on Friday, which faulted the rendition of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), from Kenya to Nigeria and also dismissed the terrorism charges against him.

In a ruling, Justice Haruna Tsanami upheld the Federal Government’s request and ruled that the judgment’s execution should be suspended.

The Federal Government had requested that the judgment’s execution be kept on hold pending the outcome of its Supreme Court appeal.

In a brief ruling, Justice Tsanami ruled that Kanu’s legal team’s counter-affidavit filed against the Federal Government application was misleading.
