I Expected Certain People To Reject Buhari’s National Honor – Seun Kuti

Controversial Nigerian Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has singled out specific person for the 2023 National Award Winners List.

Davido, Kunle Afolayan, Victor Osimhen, Terry Waya, and more than 300 more renowned Nigerians are just a few of the people who have received the Officer Of The Order of The Niger (OON) honor.

This was announced by the Department of Special Missions and Intergovernmental Affairs on Sunday, May 28.

Seun Kuti hinted that half of the celebrities who criticized the late President Muhammadu Buhari acted hypocritically when accepting the award during the debate over the national award.

He openly questioned whether anyone would do the unimaginable and refuse the honor of the state on moral grounds.

The singer said; “Half of the people criticizing this government as the worst thing ever deh go collect award for abuja from the same government? No one will reject it on principle? Or Buhari don legit? Make una just tell me o. I dey ask for one presidential candidate.”
