In Abia, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Praises Governor Okezie Ikpeazu Says He Is Fit To Represent The State At Abuja For 2023

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has praised Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State’s leadership traits and intelligence, characterizing it as “unique” and “people-oriented.”

The leading Igbo group stated that the Abia administration, with its excellently economic blueprints, has transformed the narratives of governance since the state was created by the military administration of Retired Major General Ibrahim Badamosi Babaginda.

Ohanaeze was speaking following a critical appraisal of Abia’s accomplishments and gains since its inception on August 27, 1991, which was contained in a press statement issued by the state’s Secretary-General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, and made accessible to journalists in Aba on Friday.

The statement also stated that the Ikpeazu administration has remained unfazed in its pursuit of Enyimba Economic City, as well as the massive creation, construction, and rehabilitation of durable road networks in Aba, Umuahia, and other parts of the state, to global standards, which it claims has successfully encouraged the inflow of local and business people.

The Pan Igbo organization went on to say that the government’s consistent promotion of small and medium scale and business enterprise has helped to eliminate restlessness among youth, men and women, unemployment, and hunger, as well as ensuring the gradual and maximum amelioration of criminal acts associated with the people.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo stated that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s administration has made impressive and successful progress in rejigging the moribund Akwatte seaport, Ulonna Farm Settlement, and Aba Paper Mills, adding that the state government had also revamped moribund industries through private-sector investments, most notably the Golden Guinea Breweries, which had since resumed full and steady operations.

Ohanaeze praised the government’s proposed construction of an airport, which it said would boost the state’s revenue base. It also praised the state’s security architecture, which it described as “second to none” under Ikpeazu’s administration.

It stated that the people of Abia have experienced relative peace as a result of the state government’s collaborative support with security agencies in the area of regular provision of crime-fighting logistics in tackling any resurgence of crime, praising Ikpeazu for prioritizing the security of citizens’ lives and property.

Unlike previous successive governments that we’re unable to proactively address societal crimes that slowed the state’s economic growth, Ikpeazu’s administration, according to the highest Igbo body, has created conducive environments that have ushered in business foreigners thriving in all aspects of the government policies and programs.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo applauded the government for its quick response to the coronavirus infections that nearly paralyzed economic activities in the face of the nation’s dwindling economy, as well as the government’s quick response in halting the virus’s harsh effects by providing stimulus packages to the state’s citizens and residents.

Ohanaeze commended Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu as the best servant Governor that had ever ruled the state with an immaculate track record since its inception while analyzing the progress of Abia state under former and current administrations as it marked her creation.

It went on to say that the Governor’s exceptional leadership has preserved political stability, with people associating with one another regardless of their political beliefs or backgrounds.

The Pan Igbo group also stated that the government has given an open environment for opposition parties to criticize and provide important inputs without fear of intimidation, crediting this to the Okezie Ikpeazu administration’s present political stability.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo also urged political actors in Abia to refrain from distracting the governor with pointless politicking and to enable him to build on the tremendous progress already made for a better Abia.

The Igbo group said, “Okezie Ikpeazu is equal to the task to represent ndigbo at Abuja in 2023, in many capacities. His laudable gains have superseded that of the past and successive governments that have ever govern the state”.
