JUST IN: Hospital, Shops, Houses Burnt In Awo-Omamma By Angry Nigerian Soldiers (Video, Pictures)

There was pandemonium on Monday afternoon in Awo-Omamma, Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State after quite a number of angry military officers suddenly attacked and started shooting sporadically.

The incident happened at Isieke junction in Awo-omamma.

Many indigenes of the community have fled as soldiers rendered many homeless.

According to a reliable source who spoke with our correspondents, he said, “some hoodlums attacked some soldiers at Isieke junction in Awo Mmamma and killed one of them. They zoomed off towards Ihiala in Anambra State. Later soldiers invaded the area and caused havoc in the area by setting a hotel, cars, houses and shops on fire.”

Lots of houses, cars, and shops
belonging to innocent people were set on fire as people run helter-skelter for fear of their lives. One hospital was also set ablaze.

As of the time of filing this report, the spokesperson for the 34 Artillery Brigade Command, Owerri; Sunday Akuga, didn’t take several calls put to his mobile number.
