We have the responsibility of nurturing them with love so that they grow up into well-balanced adults.
Naturally, as mothers, we love our children, but we are encouraged to tell them we do and constantly express it to them through our actions. As discussed in my previous articles, this is important for their growth and development.
Due to the natural love we have for our children, there is every tendency to overindulge them. And when we do, we spoil them. What are those things we do that can spoil our children? One of them was discussed in my previous article. Another is:
Giving them too much money You shouldn’t give your children more than they need because they might not be able to manage so much money. Some parents try to make up for their guilt by giving their kids larger allowances because they feel bad about not being able to spend more time with them since they work long hours. Giving them too much more than they need may make them feel entitled to such a huge sum of money. Also, it may make them spend recklessly. However they do not have so much to spend, and since they feel entitled to such a large sum of money, they will tend to do anything, either morally right or wrong to get it.
So, instead of giving them so much, determine how much your children genuinely require each day. Give them a little bit more, and let them know that the essence of the extra cash is for them to save.
