So when she tells you she wants to be a doctor this moment, and the next she’s dreaming of becoming an artist, a YouTuber, or running her own school, don’t just smile and brush it off. Those dreams—no matter how random or fleeting—are clues. Clues to who God created her to be. When you pay attention, pray, and gently guide her, you’ll start to see her grow into the person God created her to become.
In today’s world, society tries to sell our daughters a version of success that’s built on popularity, money, and applause. Society also teaches our girls that without dating a rich boy they cannot be successful.
But as mothers, we must teach our daughters that real success runs deeper. It’s not about chasing trends, dating boys, or going viral—it’s about living a life of meaning, fulfillment, and purpose. Let them know that they can become whoever God has created them to become because they are created with a purpose.
We must teach our girls that they don’t have to follow the crowd or pick careers based solely on status or income. They should choose paths that align with their passions and values—paths they can pour their hearts into. When they work diligently, walk in integrity, and become excellent at what they do, success will follow. But more importantly, they’ll find joy in becoming who God created them to be.
What gifts do you see in your daughter, and how are you helping her grow them?
