NNPCL Shuts Down Port Harcourt Refinery

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has announced that the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC) will commence a scheduled maintenance shutdown starting today, May 24.

This information was shared in an official statement released by Olufemi O. Soneye, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd.

According to the statement, the shutdown is a component of a planned maintenance and sustainability evaluation designed to improve the facility’s operational performance.

NNPC Ltd highlighted that it is working in close partnership with major industry stakeholders, including the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), to ensure the maintenance activities are carried out in a way that is both efficient and transparent.

The company reaffirmed its steadfast dedication to energy security, emphasizing that the maintenance initiative is in line with its overarching goal of providing sustainable energy solutions throughout the nation.
