President Biden Vows To ‘Hunt Down’ Isis-K After Suicide Bombers Kill American Soldiers In Kabul

Following yesterday’s double-strike bombings in Kabul that killed at least 95 Afghans and 13 US troops, the United States president; Joe Biden has promised to “hunt down” the terrorists responsible for the twin suicide bombings.

140 people including women and children were wounded after two explosions rocked the international airport in Afghanistan on Thursday as evacuations from the country continued.

ISIS-K, a sworn enemy of the Taliban, has taken credit for the attack, though no investigation has yet confirmed that the terrorist group is responsible.

Commenting on the attacks, Mr. Biden said: “Know this; We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay.”

This comes after several Republicans, including a former US ambassador to the UN under Donald Trump; Nikki Haley called on the president to resign over the ongoing crisis.

Nikki Haley suggested that President Biden should “step down or be removed” over the crisis, while Republican senator Marsha Blackburn claimed that both the president and VP Kamala Harris should resign.

Even though an announcement has been made that no further evacuees will be processed, US military officials say the blasts have not stopped the evacuations, which will continue until the end of the month as planned.

Meanwhile, US commanders are on high alert for more deadly attacks, including those involving rockets and vehicle-borne explosives.

General Frank McKenzie, head of US Central Command, who confirmed that more attacks from Isis are anticipated said: “We’re doing everything we can to be prepared.”

Despite the presence of Taliban fighters blocking access to Kabul airport as evacuation efforts begin to wind down, there are still crowds of people outside the airport gates trying to access flights to escape the gruesome treatments that await many Afghans.
