Ronaldo To Miss Chelsea Vs Manchester United Clash Due To Club’s Suspension

Published on

Manchester United has announced that Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be travelling with the reds to Stamford Bridge against Chelsea this weekend.

This was revealed in a statement issued by the club on Thursday.

The statement read, “Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of the Manchester United squad for this Saturday’s Premier League game against Chelsea.

“The rest of the squad is fully focused on preparing for that fixture.”

United boss Erik ten Hag enforced the punishment a day after Ronaldo left Old Trafford early during their 2-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur and the hierarchy of the club has backed the manager on his decision.

Given the 37-year-old’s dissatisfaction with being at the club, it is thought that Ten Hag would consent to his departure in the January transfer window.
