Breaking News: Russia Vows to BOMB Any Ship That Violates Its’ Borders

Published on

Russian authorities have threatened to BOMB any UK vessel that moves close to the Crimean Peninsula.

Recall that on Tuesday, Russia said that it had fired warning shots and dropped bombs in the path of a British destroyer sailing in the Black Sea off the coast of the Crimea peninsula. According to the Russian ministry, a bomber dropped four high explosive fragmentation bombs as a warning in the British destroyer’s path.

After the HMS Defender was forced to leave the waters, Russia’s deputy foreign minister Sergey Ryabkov warned the state will bomb any target which disregards prior warning.

In a threat to the West, Mr. Ryabkov claimed no state should now violate Russia’s borders – although the West does not recognize the country’s claims to Crimea.

If such an incursion happens again, the officials insisted Russia will take complete action to protect its waters.

He said today: “What can we do? We can appeal to common sense, demand respect for international law.

“If this does not help, we can bomb not only in the direction but also on target, if our colleagues do not understand.

“I warn everyone violating the state borders of the Russian Federation under the slogan of free navigation, from such provocative steps, because the security of our country comes first.”

Speaking further, the Russian official revealed the government’s anger following the incident on Wednesday.

He warned the HMS Defender’s in the Black Sea brought with it “serious consequences” for the UK. He added:

“We are outraged by the UK’s behavior, and we would like to note that balancing on the brink of confrontation is fraught with very serious consequences for those who plan such events and then try to carry them out.

“This is a very serious situation, we condemn the actions of the British side. The territorial integrity of the Russian Federation is inviolable.

“The inviolability of its borders is an absolute imperative, and we will protect all this both through political-diplomatic and, when necessary, military methods.”

Moscow claimed the Royal Navy ship violated territorial waters near the disputed peninsula and therefore called for opened warning fires. But the UK Government rejected Russia’s account of the incident and denied that any warning shots were fired.
