Michael Ogbeife, an SS3 student at Erhimu Secondary School in Abraka, Delta State, has been declared wanted for fatally beating a teacher at the school, Joseph Ossai.

After committing the illegal conduct on Thursday, Michael is reported to be on the run.

Michael had engaged the teacher in a tussle on that fateful day, according to The PUNCH, and the teacher had given up the ghost during the fight.

Michael’s younger sister, Promise Ogbeife, who was involved in an argument with a student, was reportedly flogged by the deceased instructor, who was believed to be in charge of Agricultural Science and Biology in the school until his death.

According to reports, Michael became angry by the teacher’s choice to flog his sister, and the enraged SS3 student fought the teacher.

According to sources, Michael stormed out of the school after his sister was flogged, then returned, headed straight to the staff room for a brawl with the teacher.

Michael allegedly ran home to obtain a charm before fighting the teacher, according to some sources.

According to reports, the teacher fainted after taking a few punches from the youngster, leaving him with a bleeding nose and blood streaming from his mouth.

As a result, the teacher was hurried to a local private hospital, from where he was referred to the government hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Mr. Erhimu, the school’s proprietor, informed journalists that he was not present when the incident occurred and that he was awaiting complete information about the occurrence.

The school would be closed until Monday, according to the concerned owner, who stated that he had gone to the police station to discuss the situation.

DSP Bright Edafe, the police public relations officer for Delta State Command, confirmed the incident and said the suspect is on the run.

“The suspect is nowhere to be found for now, but his sister is in protective custody”, the PPRO stated, adding that efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspect are being stepped up.
