Well-known televangelist Pastor; Temitope Balogun Joshua popularly known as Prophet TB Joshua, has died few days before his 58th birthday. Pastor TB Joshua, who is the owner of Emmanuel TV was seen in one of his last video posts on social media singing happy birthday to himself in preparation for his 58th birthday celebration which he intends to celebrate solemnly. This is due to the current social distancing being practice in Nigeria, to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus since the majority of its citizens are not vaccinated.
Miracle worker Pastor TB Joshua is a Nigerian Pastor who is well known all over Africa and the world at large as many people usually travel far and wide just to attend his Church service. The Pastor has a popular slogan, Emmanuel, Jesus is Lord.
In his latest video, he stated that the people that would want to attend his birthday are worried. He addresses himself as a man of the people, and advised that his birthday which was to be on June 12 should be spent in prayer and fasting, and taking care of the poor and needy. He seems healthy in the video.
The ministers of his Church, the Synagogue Church of all Nation have released a statement stating that the Prophet has gone home to be with his creator and his body has been deposited in the morgue. He died after the Saturday church service in Lagos on June 4, 2021.
There have been many allegations against him like the issue of the 80 South Africans that died when his church building collapsed years ago, his claim for having some cure for some ailments which the medical field has not been able to obtain any cure for, has been alarming. This has drawn a lot of people seeking a cure to his Church.
There’s a saying that Christian maturity comes mainly by learning to talk to your God. I strongly believe that a lot of people will be so heartbroken right now not because they love Prophet TB Joshua so much, but because of the Miracle, they expect to obtain through him. He has gone back to his creator.
Let that be a lesson for everyone, learn the teachings of your Pastors, take counsel from your Pastors but always remember that your Man of God has a Man he talks to as well. Learn to talk to your God yourself.
May his soul rest in peace
