Unblemished devotion to God

By an act, nothing short of a miracle, God many times blesses us in a manner that we lack words to describe. Then come the test of choosing between the blessing and the one who blesses. But how often have we allowed the blessings freely given by God to become a snare to our very soul, simply because we lack the capacity to put them where they rightly belong or to commit them to proper use?

Daily, we are confronted with choices. And many choose mammon over God. And the most spiritual of the choices of the carnal mind is to choose both God and mammon. But when we truly get converted in our hearts, we gladly move away from all such things we once adored and idolise just so we could serve the LORD with one unbroken wholehearted devotion. It is then and only then are we able to see clearly the great difference between God and gold. Only then too are we willing and able to move away from our lusts and fleshly desires just so we could wholly follow the LORD.

This week, God wants you to be intentional about moving away from such things that take away from your unblemished devotion to Him. Good morning and have a blessed week ahead.
