US Government Tells Court To Uphold Ghislaine Maxwell’s Sentence

The US government has asked the court of appeals to uphold Ghislaine Maxwell’s s3x trafficking conviction and 20-year sentence for assisting Jeffrey Epstein in sexually abusing adolescent girls.

This comes after the humiliated socialite filed a motion to dismiss the case.

Federal prosecutors said in a petition with the 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan on Thursday night that none of Maxwell’s legal objections about the fairness of her trial were valid.

“The US government evidence at trial established that over the course of a decade, Maxwell facilitated and participated in the sexual abuse of multiple young girls,” prosecutors said.

The 61-year-old s3x trafficker is being held in Tallahassee, Florida, after a Manhattan jury convicted her on five charges in December 2021 for recruiting and grooming four girls for Epstein to abuse between 1994 and 2004.

Unless she can overturn her convictions for assisting her ex-lover, Epstein, in abusing kids, Maxwell will be over 80 by the time she is released. Hundreds of women have come forward to say he molested them.

In June of last year, the daughter of disgraced UK newspaper magnate Robert Maxwell was sentenced to two decades in prison.

Her life in prison is a far cry from the lavish lifestyle she grew up with and experienced as one of billionaire financier Epstein’s buddies.

She has been dubbed the “ultimate prison Karen” after registering over 400 complaints about her life behind bars, according to DailyMail.com.

Maxwell has criticized the vegan menu options, complained about ‘unfair treatment,’ and requested that authorities at her federal jail in Florida provide her with instant access to black hair dye.

Maxwell, who is now appealing her severe sentence, accused authorities of making her a scapegoat because Epstein was no longer alive and ‘public outrage’ required that someone else bear the burden.

Epstein, 66, committed suicide in a Manhattan jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting prosecution for s3x trafficking.
