Genesis 41:55-57,42:5-7,17-24 Psalm 32(33):2-3,10-11,18-19 Matthew 10:1-7
We’ve just dived into the incredible story of Joseph and his brothers, and what a tale it is! Joseph’s journey is one of unwavering trust and boundless hope in God. Imagine the power of God working in his life until his dreams transformed into reality! He rose to become the Prime Minister of Egypt, standing right beside Pharaoh himself. Talk about a miracle—with God all things are possible.
Joseph’s dreams came to fruition, even over the betrayal of his brothers. The very ones who plotted against him ended up needing his help to survive! They wanted to end his life, yet he became their savior from starvation. Sold into slavery to a caravan headed to Egypt, he later freed them from prison, providing them with food and the beautiful land of Goshen to call home. This story is a powerful reminder: what goes around definitely comes around!
God calls us to treat ourselves and others with love, not hatred; with kindness, not cruelty; with compassion, not biases. He wants nothing but the best for us and from us! Through our baptism in Christ, we have received God’s mighty power, sharing in the glorious threefold functions of Christ Himself. As kings, we establish His kingdom; as prophets, we boldly proclaim the Good News; and as priests, we lift our prayers through Christ Our Lord.
Amen! Let’s embrace this journey and let the adventure of faith unfold in our lives! God bless!
