LET GOD’S WORD TO BEAR ABUNDANT FRUIT IN YOUR HEART

The parable of the Sower and the Seed, as discussed in today’s gospel, emphasizes the importance of the Word of God as the pinnacle of goodness. The condition of our hearts determines how we receive and nurture this seed within us, subsequently influencing its outcome.

Fostering a receptive heart involves facilitating the cultivation of this good seed. Engaging in small acts of kindness, such as offering assistance to others or tending to the needs of customers, serves as a means of sowing this seed and enriching our spirits with daily sustenance.

Jesus underscores the significance of keeping His word as a manifestation of love for Him, culminating in an intimate connection with both Him and the Father.

In this regard, attentiveness to Christ’s word in Scripture is indispensable for fostering proximity to Him, We must therefore be very sensitive to Christ’s word to us if we ever hope to be close to Him!  Otherwise, we might find ourselves talking to ourselves rather than to Jesus!
