The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has revealed the reason for the delay in publishing his manifesto for the 2023 presidential election.
Obi stated that he was awaiting the positions of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) before publishing his manifesto.
This was revealed by the former Anambra State Governor during an interview with the BBC.
The LP presidential candidate has been criticized for stalling the publication of his presidential manifesto for the 2023 election.
However, the former governor dismissed the criticisms, stating that the government has many ideas and recorded policy programs that have been rendered futile owing to a lack of implementation and political will to carry them out.
The Labour Party’s manifesto will be released “sometime next week,” according to Doyin Okupe, the director-general of Peter Obi’s presidential campaign, who also noted that “it will be different from that of other political parties.”
