AFCON 2021: Nigeria’s Win, Teachable Moment For Sensible Minds — Oby Ezekwesili

A former Nigerian Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili, has congratulated the Nigeria football team, Super Eagles, in their 1-0 win in their match with Egypt.

Nigeria on Tuesday defeated the Pharaohs for the first time in an opening fixture of the African Cup of Nations after losing in 1963 and 2010 editions.

According to Punch, Ezekwesili, who described the victory as a ‘sweet win’, noted that it was a teachable moment for sensible minds.

She also called on fellow Nigerians to celebrated the “very competent” team for their win.

Taking to her official Twitter page, the former Vice President of the World Bank tweeted, “Let’s celebrate the fruit of fielding a competent football team tonight.

“This sweet win by a very competent assemblage of @NGSuperEagles players is definitely a teachable moment for sensible minds. Congratulations folks.”
