Alex Iwobi To Receive Salary Increase At Everton In New Deal.

Published on

Alex Iwobi, a midfielder for the Super Eagles, is expected to get a new deal as a reward for his strong start to the season at Everton.

According to rumours, the midfielder’s new contract will increase his weekly pay from £70,000 to £100,000.

After the hiring of Frank Lampard, the current head coach of Everton, who transformed the 26-year-old Nigerian into a center-midfielder, the player who had struggled at the beginning of his Everton career improved in his performance.

The former Arsenal player has only 18 months left on his current contract, so Everton fans will be happy to see him sign a new term.

Iwobi’s new contract is reported to be a “three-and-a-half-year deal,” which will keep him in Merseyside through 2026.

The 17th-placed Everton will be looking to avoid a repeat of last season’s scare as they are now just one point above the relegation zone.
