Antonio Conte, Tottenham Hotspur manager, has pointed out that Arsenal still has a competitive advantage over his squad in the race for a top-four finish.

Manchester United, Wolves, and West Ham United also have a chance to qualify for the Champions League next season, according to the Italian boss.

Tottenham are currently fourth in the table, but Arsenal are only three points behind them and, more importantly, have a game in hand.

Conte stated that his worry is not for Tottenham to displace Chelsea in third place, but that his team still faces a difficult task in securing a top-four finish.

In a press conference on Thursday, the former Chelsea manager was asked if Spurs could challenge Chelsea and he responded, “But I think first of all we have to think to ourselves and to look to ourselves and not the other opponents.

“Arsenal have one more game in their hand than us.

“But it is not just Arsenal in this race, there is Arsenal, Manchester United, West Ham, Wolves.

“I think in this race you can finish first – in this race – if you don’t make a lot of mistakes.”

Conte also stated that the team’s next opponent, Brighton, is a very tough and strong team.
