Assassin Goes To Police After Client Refused To Pay Up

An assassin from Kenya’s Vihiga County admitted to stabbing and killing a 43-year-old woman after the person who reportedly hired him to perform the crime failed to pay him.

A woman allegedly paid the assassin to assassinate a victim, who was believed to be her friend.

He then went to the Mbale Police Station on January 15 and reported that his accomplice had refused to give him Sh20,000 for carrying out a murderous scheme.

The two suspects have been detained for murder, according to Benjamin Ong’ombe, the commander of the Vihiga County Police, who confirmed the occurrence on Saturday, January 21.

The assassin admitted to having been hired to kill a middle-aged woman at Sahini Village in Sabatia Constituency for unspecified reasons, the police chief told The Standard.

Ong’move said, “He told police officers at Mbale station that a person, who had contracted him to kill a Sahini-based woman, refused to pay him after he’d killed his target.

“He said that he stabbed the 43-year-old victim in the neck, killing her on the spot. He got furious that his hirer, a woman, had refused to pay him. In effort to have his co-accused compelled to pay him, he went and filed a report at the Mbale Police Station. He confessed to the crime.”

According to police, the man took them to an abandoned house where the victim’s body was discovered in a pool of blood.

Ong’move said, “We thought he was joking at first when he confessed to the murder. We were shocked to discover that he’d actually committed the crime.”

A knife suspected of being used in the murder was discovered at the scene.

The victim’s body was taken to the morgue at Vihiga County Referral Hospital.

Police are still investigating why the suspect was hired to murder the 43-year-old victim.

Police say the victim’s sister knew the lady who reportedly hired the male suspect to murder her sibling.

The suspect and the victim were friends, according to the sister, with the victim occasionally doing housework for the suspect.

The deceased’s sibling said, “My sister had taken a loan from the suspect but failed to pay on time. The suspect could have killed her over the debt.”

The family of the deceased is now calling for justice.
