Attacker Of Dave Chappelle Has Been Arrested And Charged With Assault

The guy who hit comedian Dave Chappelle onstage during the “Netflix is a Joke” Festival on Tuesday night has been apprehended by authorities.

Isaiah Lee 23, was arrested and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon after the Los Angeles Police Department claimed he climbed the stage at the Hollywood Bowl, pointed a replica handgun with a knife blade attached, and tackled Chappelle. He is now being remanded in custody on a $30,000 bail.

Chappelle was performing at the Netflix Is A Joke event when the intruder stormed the stage and assaulted him before being hauled away by security. Chappelle, unbothered, kept going with his set, joking, ‘It was a trans man.’

After receiving treatment from paramedics for a badly damaged arm, the attacker was transported to the hospital in an ambulance.

Jamie Foxx, wearing in a sheriff’s cap and attending the event at the Hollywood Bowl, came on stage to assist in the arrest of the perpetrator.
