Barca To Lose Two New Signings On A Free Exit Over Registration Issues

Published on

If Barcelona fails to register Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie before their opening LaLiga match on Saturday, both new recruits might leave for free.

Christensen and Kessie, who had played for Chelsea and Milan, respectively, made a move to Camp Nou this summer.

However, due to their continuous financial problems, Barca has not yet registered these players.

According to ESPN, Christensen and Kessie’s contracts contain provisions that could allow them to become free agents in the future.

Additionally, Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Jules Kounde, three more summer additions, are still pending registration with Barcelona.

Also joining the list are Ousmane Dembele and Sergio Roberto who extended their contracts with the club but are yet to be registered.

Christensen and Kessie came to the Camp Nou on free transfers, so a provision in their contracts will allow them to go for nothing.
