Chelsea Forward Joao Felix Joins Cristiano Ronaldo At Al Nassr

Published on

Chelsea striker Joao Félix has transferred to Al Nassr, joining Cristiano Ronaldo, after securing a deal with the Saudi club valued at up to £43.7m (€50m).

The transfer fee comprises an initial £26.2m (€30m) payment and potential add-ons of £17.5m (€20m).

His previous club, Benfica, had been in discussions to bring back the 25-year-old, but Al Nassr intervened and finalized their acquisition of Félix as they aim to secure the Saudi Pro League title, having also extended Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract.

Félix had returned to Chelsea on a permanent basis last summer from Atletico Madrid for £46.3m, following a prior loan stint at Stamford Bridge in 2023.

The Portuguese star appeared in 20 matches across all competitions for Chelsea last season, scoring seven goals.

Despite not cementing a regular role during either of his spells at Chelsea, the club has nearly recovered the full amount they invested to sign Félix permanently.

Additionally, Chelsea earned a £5m fee from Félix’s loan move to AC Milan, where he scored three goals in 19 appearances, in February.

In total, Chelsea have generated £135.7m from player sales this summer, with a net spend of £82.3m for the transfer window.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
