Crime: Man Attacks & Stabbed One Person At Dusseldorf Airport

Nowhere seems safe anymore!

German police have declared a manhunt for a yet-to-be-identified knifeman who reportedly attacked and stabbed an unsuspecting person.

According to Police, the attack took place at a parking ticket vending machine in a parking garage near the departures terminal in Dusseldorf airport on Tuesday.

Surveillance footage showed two men walking toward an airport parking lot at 12.16 pm local time (1016 GMT), at which point the attack happened.

According to a spokeswoman for federal police who confirmed the report on German magazine ‘Focus’, she said the assailant fled and is currently on the run but a manhunt is underway involving both local and federal police.

Dusseldorf Airport is one of Germany’s busiest air hubs. Today, 634 flights are scheduled and around 75,000 passengers are expected to pass through the airport.

Meanwhile, the victim of the stabbing has been taken to the hospital and state police are searching for the perpetrator, the spokeswoman said.

For now, no one knows the motive for the attack.
