Dad Stabs Son To Death In Fight Over Dirty Dishes

Published on

According to authorities, an argument over dirty dishes in the washbasin led to an Indiana dad stabbing his own son in the heart.

At their house on Friday, June 14, the incident took place. Marion County Jail records state that Timothy Ray Lisby, 59, is being held without bond on an original allegation of aggravated violence.

According to a family member who saw the horrifying demise of Christopher Allen Lisby, 31, on June 14, the dad ought to be charged with murder, he told Fox 59.

Since the battery charge was filed, the matter has been passed over to murder detectives, and they are currently conducting an investigation.

Inside the mobile home on Dogie Road in Indianapolis, Jeremiah Green told the outlet that Lisby and his son wrestled one other to the floor after arguing over a stack of dirty dishes. The father then retaliated with cutlery.

“Tim had a spoon in his hand and started stabbing Chris with it,” Green told the outlet. “Chris said, ‘Jeremiah get the spoon out of his hand,’ so I did.”

According to Green, the father then reached for another weapon.

“Tim ran in the kitchen and grabbed something shiny, something sharp … and pushed it into Chris’s chest as hard as he could,” Green said.

Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene after Green dialled 911, according to the site.

Per an affidavit filed in the case and obtained by Law & Crime, they discovered the son in the living room with a “bleeding wound to the chest.”

After surgery to repair his lacerated heart, Christopher Lisby was sent to a nearby hospital and stabilised, according to the police.

However, the next day, he passed away from his wounds.

Green claimed that after making a 911 call, the father recognised the seriousness of the situation and attempted to give his son first aid.

“He was putting pressure on Chris and saying, ‘Don’t die. Don’t die,’” Green told Fox 59. “Since that day I’ve been crying, and I can’t sleep.”

Green stated that he will go in court to testify against Lisby and that he will take all necessary steps to “put him down.”

“Chris was my friend. I loved him to death,” Green said.

“I’ve never seen anyone bleed that bad and that really hurt me. When he stabbed Chris in the heart, it’s like he stabbed mine.”

“He killed the only friend I have in the world. He’s gonna pay for what he did,” Green told Fox 59.

The father’s next court date is June 21, based on information from the online jail.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
