Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has appointed 11 more individuals into various key positions in the state. Among those appointed by Soludo is Mr. Obumneme Akunyili, the last son of a former Director-General, National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, late Prof. Dora Akunyili.
Obumneme would be taking office as the Director-General, Project Monitoring Office.
The appointments were announced in a statement signed by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Mr. Paul Nwosu, and made available on Thursday, 9 June.
According to the statement, the new appointees and their portfolios include Special Adviser, Legislative/State Assembly Matters, Rt. Hon. Anayo Nebe; Special Adviser, Political Matters, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu; Special Adviser, Medicals and Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Godwin Nnadozie; Chairman of Governing Board, Anambra State Waste Management Authority, Dr. Emma Ezenwaji; Managing Director/CEO, Anambra State Waste Management Authority, Mr Mike Ozoemena; Managing Director/CEO, Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi. Others include, Managing Director/CEO, Anambra State Signage and Advertising Agency, Mr Tony Ujubuonu; Special Adviser, Local Government Affairs, Mr Raphael Asha Nnabuife; Managing Director, Anambra Broadcasting Service, Mr Chido Obidiegwu; Managing Director, Anambra State Erosion, Watershed and Climate Change Agency, Prof. Phil O. Phil-Eze; and Director General, Project Monitoring Office; Mr. Obumneme Akunyili.
