“I Feel For Chelsea,” Jurgen Klopp Says After Victory Over The Blues

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp appeared to taunt Chelsea following Saturday’s FA Cup final, which was a repeat of the Carabao Cup final, which Liverpool won on penalties earlier in February.

Liverpool has now won its second domestic cup of the season, defeating Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea in two finals.

Both teams had great chances to score, with Marcos Alonso and Christian Pulisic wasting golden chances for Chelsea and Luis Diaz and Andy Robertson almost scoring for Liverpool.

Cesar Azpilicueta and Mason Mount both missed penalty kicks, while Kostas Tsimikas scored the game-winning penalty for Liverpool.

After Azpilicueta’s shot struck the post, Sadio Mane had a chance to win the trophy for Liverpool, but his Senegal teammate Edouard Mendy denied him.

The victory keeps the Reds’ prospects of winning the quadruple alive this season.

Jurgen Klopp speaking after the match, said, “Then in the penalty shootout, it was nerve-racking, my nails are gone but I really feel for Chelsea – for the second time, 120 minutes and you get nothing, that’s too hard. But for us, I’m pretty happy.

“We are mentality monsters but there were mentality monsters in blue as well – it was one penalty. Chelsea played outstanding but in the end, there must be one winner and that was us today.”
