Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky told Fox News on Tuesday, Nov. 19, that if the US removes military aid to Kyiv, the country “will lose” its war against Russia.
“If they cut, we will—I think we will lose,” Zelensky stated in an interview with a US television network.
“We will fight. We have our production, but it’s not enough to prevail. And I think it’s not enough to survive,” he continued.
US President-elect Donald Trump has been an outspoken critic of the billions of dollars that President Joe Biden’s government has handed Ukraine since the Russian invasion began in 2022.
Trump has often promised to end the war swiftly, but has not provided specifics on how he will do so.
This week, his allies sharply criticized Biden’s decision to allow Ukraine to employ US-supplied long-range missiles for assaults inside Russia, accusing him of a dangerous escalation.
Zelensky told Fox News that “unity” between Ukraine and the US was “most important.”
Trump, he claimed, could persuade Russian President Vladimir Putin to cease the war “because he is far more powerful than Putin.”
Putin “can be willing and end this war, but it also depends on the United States of America much more. Putin is weaker than the United States of America,” he said.
A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
