Illbliss Remembers Great Indigenous Rapper, Dagrin

Nigerian Hip Hop artiste, Tobechukwu Ejiofor better known as Illbliss has remembered late iconic rapper, Oladapo Olaonipekun popularly known as Dagrin.

Illbliss took to his Twitter (X) to eulogise the Dagrin on Wednesday April 24, 2024, few days after the 14th anniversary of his death.

Dagrin, at the peak of his career after a successful year, died in a fatal car accident on 22nd of April 2010 when he was 25 years old.

Remembering the late rapper, Illbliss shared a picture of the ‘Pon Pon Pon’ crooner said his “legacy will never end”.

He wrote: “Keep Resting Bro! Your legacy will never end. We remember you. We respect your colossal immeasurable contributions to Nigerian Hiphop. You inspired so many. Keep resting.”

Oladapo Olaitan Olaonipekun, also known as Dagrin (25 October 1984 – 22 April 2010), was a Nigerian rapper from Ogun, Nigeria. A film of his life entitled Ghetto Dreamz was produced in April 2011. He is recognized for paving the way for indigenous rap in Nigeria. He is widely considered one of the greatest Nigerian rappers of all time. May his soul continue to rest in perfect peace.
