King Charles Sister Anne Returns To Royal Duties

Published on

The sister of British President Charles III, Princess Anne, resumed her public duties on Friday, several weeks after receiving medical attention in a hospital following an accident with a horse.

In what is reportedly a phased comeback to public appearances, Anne, 73, met and gave trophies to winners at a charity horseback riding event in Gloucestershire, southwest England.

Known as the Princess Royal, she was hospitalized in Bristol for five nights in late June after suffering a concussion and minor brain injuries at her Gloucestershire estate, Gatcombe Park.

Since then, she has been recuperating in her house on the expansive estate and adhering to accepted concussion procedures.

The princess’s medical team said at the time her injuries were consistent with a potential impact from a horse’s head or legs.

She is a skilled horsewoman who competed at the 1976 Montreal Olympics, and is the mother of British rider Zara Tindall, who won eventing team silver at the 2012 London Olympics.

Anne has stepped in to represent Charles while he postponed public engagements during his cancer treatment, and rode at his official birthday parade last month.

We are so happy that you are back to work in good health. Welcome Back!
