Kogi Farmers Reap Benefits: Lawmaker’s N150m Agricultural Inputs Boost Food Security

A lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal constituency in the National Assembly, James Faleke, has distributed agricultural inputs worth over N150 million to farmers in Kogi State. The initiative aims to help farmers recover from losses incurred due to recent falls in food prices.

Key Highlights:

• Agricultural Inputs: The distribution includes essential inputs like sprayers, herbicides, seeds, liquid organic fertilizer, cash assistance, and other resources.
• Training and Capacity Building: Beneficiaries received training to build their capacity on various value chains, including cassava and fisheries.
• Demonstration Farms: The project includes demonstration farms, with over 150 hectares of land cleared and prepared for farming, and motorized boreholes provided in some locations.
• Beneficiaries: A total of 165 farmers from across the three senatorial districts of Kogi State will benefit from the program.
