Kylian Mbappe Desperate To Leave PSG In January

Published on

PSG’s Kylian Mbappe is reportedly planning to leave the French club during the January transfer window.

The World Cup-winning attacker only signed a new long-term deal in May, with the deal structured to keep him at Parc des Princes until 2025, but he is already looking to sever links with the Ligue 1 champions after working relationships on and off the field have broken down.

Mbappe was set to become a free agent in the summer of 2022, but he ended major uncertainty about his future by agreeing to a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain – with French President Emmanuel Macron among those who persuaded him to stay.

The 23-year-old is believed to feel that promises made to him have been broken as deals for players like Robert Lewandowski and Bernardo Silva are rumoured to be in the works.

He is also believed to be angry with coach Christophe Galtier after a public show of his frustration was seen on social media and bad terms with teammates like Brazilian superstar Neymar.

Big teams from the Premier League, including Merseyside giants Liverpool, are among the favourites for one of the most sought-after signatures as PSG are apparently reluctant to do business with Real Madrid, who have been Mbappe’s longtime pursuers, with the club remaining his dream destination.

Regardless of the player’s desires, any sale appears doubtful at the moment.
