La Liga Blocks Barcelona From Registering Raphinha, Lewandowski, Others

Published on

Barcelona has been dealt a major blow after learning that they cannot officially sign any of their new acquisitions until they lower their spending.

This summer, the Catalans signed Jules Kounde, Franck Kessie, Raphinha, Andreas Christensen, and Robert Lewandowski.

Sergi Roberto and Ousmane Dembele’s contracts with Barca have also been extended.

All of those registrations, however, must wait till the club’s books are in order before being registered with LaLiga.

Club president Laporta said to the assembled fans during Lewandowski’s introduction on Friday at Camp Nou, “We have worked to enrol all of them (the new signings). We have worked hard and productively, in order to meet the requirements.

“And if it is necessary to carry out any more operations, we will do it. We are waiting. It is a decision that La Liga must make. We have complied with what it requires. We are confident that we will be able to register them.”
