Learning to RELAX – Monday Motivation

Published on

The greatest act of faith is learning to RELAX in the midst of our battles. This is about the most difficult thing for men to do, and yet it is the number one requirement for all round victory. We would never succeed in life until we approach all the battles of life from the standpoint of divine rest. We would never become the Victor for as long as we keep acting or playing the victim. Our lives would never matter for as long as we have that negative but firm belief in our subconscious that we are just here to struggle it out and that our circumstances have the mastery of us and ultimately determines what we can or cannot be.

Approaching life from the standpoint of rest doesn’t immunize you against the troubles and challenges of life. But it does entail that somewhere deep in your subconscious, you have and maintain this firm belief that no matter what you go through, you would ALWAYS come out better than you went in. That belief presupposes that your challenges are only a means to your next level of greatness; some kind of intervening periods linking together your chain of successes. They are never to be seen as things meant to stop you but as opportune time during which God teaches and trains you to develop increasing capacity for the next big break coming your way. When you cultivate and maintain such a mindset, you welcome challenges not to stay but to pass away, knowing that even this too is part of God’s plan working for your good (Rom. 8:28,31,37)
