Anthony Kosisochukwu Okafor, 37, of Adegbe Village, Abagana, Njikoka LGA, was arrested by police officers affiliated with the Abagana Police Divisional Headquarters and AVG Operatives, Abagana, on Friday, February 7, in connection with the death of his 45-year-old older brother, Emmanuel Okafor.
When SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the command spokesperson, verified the tragic event to reporters, he said the suspect admitted to fighting the victim over a heated dispute about using food in the residence. According to legend, Kosisochukwu punctured the deceased’s chest with a stick. The on-call physician verified the victim’s de@d when they were taken to the hospital.
Ikenga stated that the occurrence is troubling and emphasizes the need of resolving domestic violence and family problems. He also emphasizes the importance of managing disagreements and emotions in a healthy and constructive manner in order to avoid irreversible consequences.
According to the police spokesperson, the case has been moved to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Awka, and will be charged in court after the investigation is completed.
