A man drowned after falling into the sea while trying to mimic the classic Titanic movie flying pose with his girlfriend.

A couple had gone to the edge of a pier to imitate Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet’s iconic “King of the World” pose from Titanic.

Sadly, after taking alcohol on a fishing trip, Furkan Ciftci and his girlfriend Mine Dinar, both 23, fell into the sea while attempting to perfect the classic pose.

Mine Dinar survived but Ciftci drowned.

Some fishermen hurried to rescue them after seeing the pair fall into the water, rescuing Mine after she grasped the end of a fishing rod.

She was rescued, but her partner Ciftci vanished with the waves, prompting emergency personnel to arrive to search for the 23-year-old.

The lady was rushed to the hospital by an ambulance, while Ciftci’s lifeless body was recovered from the ocean two hours later by a diving team.

She told authorities that she and her companion thought it would be amusing to imitate the “Titanic pose,” so they crossed the chain to stand on the pier’s edge, where they lost their balance.

The couple’s final moments together were captured on CCTV as they set up seats on the pier to begin fishing.
