Elsie, a Tanzanian lady with hirsutism—a rare disorder that causes her to sprout facial hair—has spoken openly about her challenges.
Elsie has had numerous obstacles and sufferings as a result of having hirsutism since she was a little child.
She discussed the reasons why men stay clear of dating or falling in love with her in an interview with Wasafi Media. She also talked about how people frequently mistake her for a transgender person.

Elsie clarified that because they believe she is transgender, men are hesitant to date her.
According to her, when men learn that she has facial hair, they stop being interested in her. They also frequently ask her friends if she is a real woman or transgender.
Elsie declared that she believes God made her this way for a reason and that she has come to terms with who she is. She stated that she is just like other ladies.
“I accepted myself because it’s natural. I was given by God. But there are a lot of challenges that I do face. Some people think I am transgender, but I would like to clarify that I am a woman. I have been blessed with one daughter and I am just okay. Many people wonder when they see me because I look different, but I am just like any other woman. Men fear me and they go around asking my friends if I am a real woman or transgender,” she said.
