Mercy Eke Laments The Closure Of Heritage Bank And States She Has Over 100m In Her Account

Published on

The CBN just announced that Heritage Bank’s banking license will be cancelled. The bank’s financial difficulties during the previous five years and its problems with bad loans were the reasons behind this decision.

The CBN ultimately made the decision to intervene, under Yemi Cardoso’s direction.

Mercy Eke, who owns a bank account, voiced her dismay and disbelief at the information.

She said that in order to get her prizes during her stay in the BBN home, she was told to open an account with Heritage Bank.

She had saved more than N100 million with the bank, but she was unaware of their financial difficulties.

While the NDIC has promised to reimburse customers with less than N5 million within a week, those with larger amounts will have to wait until the bank’s assets are liquidated.

Disappointment can leave us feeling like we’re living in a Shakespearean tragedy or caught in the ups and downs of a gripping TV series.

According to my dad who is an Ex-staff of Central Bank, said you will definitely get your money back that all depositor’s money are safe because the NDIC (Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation) will pay all the money through CBN. So let your mind be at rest…..
