Casemiro, the midfielder for Manchester United, made a surprising move when he joined Marbella FC in the fourth division of Spain.
The 32-year-old Brazilian midfielder has one eye on the future after investing in Marbella, who plays in the Spanish fourth division.
Casemiro’s future at Manchester United is seriously uncertain as the former Real Madrid player is strongly linked with a move away.
After being announced as the new director, he said: “It is an honour for me to join Marbella Football Club because my biggest motivation is the spectacular possibilities for growth of the club.
“I have been to Marbella with my family on several occasions and both my children, my wife and I are in love with this city, with which we want to be connected for life.
“No doubt, together we will dream big to take Marbella to the highest, but now we have to enjoy our wonderful ascent to Primera.”
Since the former Real Madrid star has drawn interest from Saudi Arabian teams, particularly Al Nassr, where his old teammate Cristiano Ronaldo presently plays, speculation has linked him with a move away from Old Trafford, with strong signs that he may travel to Saudi Arabia.
On Monday, June 3, it was revealed that Ronaldo had spoken with him one-on-one to try to persuade him to sign with the Saudi Pro League.
In addition to Al Nassr, Casemiro is allegedly being courted by Al Ahli and Al Qasidiya, who are offering him lucrative options while he decides what to do.
A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
