Motherhood is a journey filled with love, sacrifice, and personal growth. However, what brings fulfillment to one mother may differ from another, depending on her personality, values, and aspirations.

As discussed in previous articles, in ancient times, society expected mothers to find fulfillment solely in the achievements of their children and husbands.
While many mothers still find joy in nurturing their children, supporting their husbands, and maintaining a happy home, this singular focus can have unintended consequences. When unexpected events such as the death of a spouse, job loss, or financial downturn occur, mothers who have devoted their entire lives to their families may suddenly find themselves struggling to provide for their children.
Additionally, some mothers who sacrificed everything for their children may later experience neglect in old age, leaving them feeling abandoned and unfulfilled.
Today, an increasing number of mothers seek personal and professional growth alongside their family responsibilities. Modern society now recognizes that a mother’s fulfillment, happiness, and self-worth should not be defined solely by her family’s achievements but also by her aspirations, accomplishments, and sense of purpose.

Therefore, instead of choosing between motherhood and personal fulfillment, many women today strive to embrace both—caring for their families while also pursuing careers, passions, and self-growth. Women now recognize that a happy, fulfilled individual makes a better mother, wife, and role model for their children.
