Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi Emerges Premier League Best Passer

According to the official website of the Premier League, premierleague.com, Alex Iwobi of Everton and the Super Eagles is the league’s best passer.

The Nigerian international and Bernardo Silva of Manchester City are tied for second place in the EPL in terms of assists with five each.

Iwobi has revived his career at Everton and he is currently the best player in the club this year.

He had a strong game against Crystal Palace on Saturday, contributing two assists to the Toffees’ 3-0 victory.

He had 53 touches overall, three key passes, an 87 percent pass success rate, two big chances he helped create, 13 passes in the final third, and two successful long balls.

The former Arsenal player was named Man-of-The-Match for his outstanding defensive play, which included 100% tackle success rate and four-ball recoveries.

To take the top spot, the 26-year-old outperformed the Arsenal duo of Bukayo Saka (352), Gabriel Jesus (287), and Harry Kane (265) of Tottenham Hotspur.

Joelinton (381), Bobby De Cordova-Reid (362), Leandro Trossard (333), Roberto Firmino (324), Ivan Toney (267), Jadon Sancho (285) and Demarai Gray are other players in the Top 10. (265).
