Paul Scholes, a legend of Manchester United, has expressed sympathy for Antony, a talented Ajax forward.
The former midfielder also expressed a significant worry about the Brazilian attacker United is interested in.
In an effort to force his way out of the Dutch champions, the Brazilian has been absent from the last two matches for Ajax.
Scholes has questioned Ajax’s choice to block the South American to leave this summer and can relate to the 23-year-old displeasure.
Speaking to BT Sport, Paul Scholes said, “You expect him to want to leave Ajax to come to Manchester United, of course you would.
“I feel a bit [sorry] for the lad because he obviously wants to come for Manchester United, one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“He’s got great skills and he’s a player that the manager likes, he’s had him. I do feel a little bit sorry for the player but we’ll see what happens.”
