Portugal’s Coach Speaks About Ronaldo Being On Bench In Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo’s playing time at Manchester United has decreased this season, but according to Portugal’s head coach, Fernando Santos, he still plays a significant role for his country.

Ronaldo was added to the Portuguese team on Thursday in preparation for the September 24 game against the Czech Republic and the September 27 match against Spain in the Nations League.

According to Portugal’s coach, “I have absolutely no worries about Ronaldo’s lack of playing time for Manchester United.

“As with any player I have to work out what the situation is with him.

“But I don’t think anyone has any doubts that Ronaldo continues to be of great importance to the national team.”

This summer, Ronaldo attempted to push a transfer away from Old Trafford in order to compete in the Champions League, but he was unsuccessful.
