President Buhari Presents Public Service Awards To Goodluck Jonathan, Gov Wike And Others

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari presented Public Service Awards to 44 deserving citizens, including former President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday, October 21.

Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, and 16 Governors, including Gov Nyesom Wike of Rivers State were also awarded various honours at the Nigeria Excellence Award in Public Service (NEAPS) in acknowledgement of their commitment to public service.

This inaugural award, created in partnership with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, recognizes and honours individuals who have made significant contributions to the expansion and advancement of the public sector and the nation as a whole.

The recipient must be a living public official or private citizen who continuously excels in a particular sphere of influence, be in good moral standing, and be at the forefront of service and innovation in order to be eligible.
