Faith Morey, a model and reality TV star, has talked candidly about her long-running fight with cancer and how the diagnosis changed her life’s direction.
In an interview with the Tea With Tay podcast, Morey said that she received a cancer diagnosis about four to five years ago, which she called a “life-altering” incident.
Morey and her son were living in seclusion on a ranch at the time, enjoying a more leisurely lifestyle away from the spotlight.
Her diagnosis, however, compelled her to go through a profound time of introspection.
“The news really hit me. I started thinking about what I would leave behind for my son,” she said.
“Most people didn’t know about that… I remember just looking at [the doctor] and all I thought about was what will people tell my child… not the day I was buried, but what legacy I’ve left.”
“At that time, I had put my dream on hold. I was just Faith—relaxed on a ranch because I had lived and thought that was it. I told God that if I go through this and I come out alive, I would never play small.”
