Russell Brand Faces S*xual Assault and Rape Charges

Actor and comedian Russell Brand; is facing charges of s*xual offenses, including rape.

Following a combined investigation by The Sunday Times, The Times, and Channel 4 Dispatches in September 2023, in which multiple women accused Brand of rape, s*xual assault, and emotional abuse, detectives launched an inquiry.

Russell Brand is currently facing two charges of s*xual assault and one counts each of rape, indecent assault, and oral rape against four different women from the Metropolitan Police.

In the past, Brand has refuted the allegations and stated that all of his s*xual encounters were “absolutely always consensual.”

The purported incidences happened from 1999 to 2005.

In addition to the oral rape and s*xual assault of a lady in the Westminster district of London in 2004, Brand is accused of raping a woman in the Bournemouth region in 1999.

Additionally, he faces charges of s*xually assaulting a woman between 2004 and 2005 and indecently assaulting a woman in 2001, both of which are claimed to have occurred in Westminster, London.

According to Metropolitan Police Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy, “The women who have made reports continue to receive support from specially trained officers.

“The Met’s investigation remains open and detectives ask anyone who has been affected by this case, or anyone who has any information, to come forward and speak with police. A dedicated team of investigators is available via email at CIT@met.police.uk. “Support is also available by contacting the independent charity, Rape Crisis at 24/7 Rape and S*xual Abuse Support Line.”

Brand is scheduled to make an appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 2.
